It's our dive bar. The staff took care of us and stepped in when we felt uncomfortable with the snake-y college boys trying to make us feel uncomfortable. Good people.
Great spot in the basement off of historic Pearl street. Fantastic atmosphere and excellent beer prices .
Take that walk down the stairs into the basement. great dive. $10 min for cards. really bare bones and basic beer, but the prices are so damn cheap. darts, pool, loud music. clean bathrooms. security. back door area for the smokers. what else do you need?
They beat expectations I've avoided sundown in the past due to bad reviews. We decided to go on a Wednesday around 6pm. They were fairly empty and had reasonable prices for Boulder. They even had few pool until 10pm. We left around 8:30pm. A crowd of college aged drinkers started taking over after 8pm. We plan to go back again and again. They even had Blanton's!!!!
Oh boy... what a place. Definitely the college go-to on a weekend evening, into the late hours, for 21st birthdays, you name it. It's crowded, it's loud, it's everything a 21 year old could ever want. By the time I hit the ripe old age of 24 (it's a joke) I was all Downer'd-out, but this place holds such an interesting place in my heart.
